Song! Intro! Challenge! Episode Two

If you're viewing this on Facebook, you'll want to click here now: http://sssemester.blogspot.com

Hey, remember how much fun we had with Song! Intro! Challenge! episode 1, even though it wasn't called that? Good times.

Here's the latest Song! Intro! Challenge!. It has 45 songs, for a total playing time of 8 minutes, 51 seconds. This one's a little different in that I didn't edit out all of the lyrics. But, as always, the rules are the same:

The Rules
Enter your song guesses (FULL ARTISTS' NAMES AND TITLE REQUIRED... except in the case of TV theme songs and Broadway showtunes - just the title required for those) as a single comment here on the blog. Standard rules apply: Judge's decision final, proper spelling appreciated, blah blah blah... OH! And if you have an iPhone, don't iCheat by iUsing Shazam, please.

You can enter as often as you like -- but each comment/entry will be counted independent of your other entries; so if you get a question right in one entry but wrong in another, it only counts as correct in the one you got it right in. Got that?) If you're reading this on Facebook, go to the blog: http://sssemester.blogspot.com to hear the 45 songs and enter your comment/entry.

The Grand Prize
The first person to get all 45 artists and titles correct in a single entry -- or the person with the most song artists and titles by 7:00PM EDT ON TUESDAY, JUNE 9 -- will win a $10 Costco Cash Card. If you live somewhere where there isn't a Costco, you still want to play and win; we'll figure something out, prize-wise.

(Almost) Everybody "Wins"
If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you know that I'm chairing a Barn Dance fundraiser for Motus Dance Theatre in October. As part of the festivities, I'm learning to do the Hoedown Throwdown (from "The Hannah Montana Movie," apparently).

Anyone who gets at least five songs correct in this Song! Intro! Challenge! and leaves their e-mail in their comment or sends me their e-mail directly (SSSemester [at] yahoo [dot] com) after putting their official entry in the comments WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL, SUPERSECRET LINK to a video of me doing the Hoedown Throwdown. The three-minute version. (I'll pray for you if you pray for me.)

The Contest
And this time, if someone gets all 45 answers correct, I will NOT be posting any indication to that effect until 7:00PM on Tuesday. So, just because you see someone's answer and think they've won, be sure to comment anyway!

Since all I care about is the video (I'm not even sure what a Hoedown Throwdown is, but I must see it!), I'm submitting knowing that I have the 5 required songs. I'm not very good at these things, so thanks for including that video incentive.

We are changing our answer for #7 to Jump, Jive 'n Wail by Louis Prima. How's that????

Now now Jon and Jenny... not everyone can be freakishly smart like you two. (Or as freakishly smart as Jon...)

While I will say Jon is freakishly smart, Jenny has freakish memory abilities: "Remember that time we talked about [whatever]? It was Thursday, October 17, 2000, and we were on our way to a 7:20 showing of "What Lies Beneath" in Schaumburg but we were stuck on the Kennedy [or whatever highway we were on when the conversation took place]?"

It's uncanny.
